Credit Card Fraud – Are you vulnerable to RFIT?

The video below (just over 4 minutes) shows how thieves can electronically read your credit card without taking your wallet out of your pocket or purse. They do this by using Radio Frequency Identification Technology.

Incredible to think that some of our info may be transmitted so easily. Although it must be difficult for these card skimming theives to use the info without Credit card verification and pin numbers that are usually required for online purchases. Hopefully merchants become more astute to requiring higher level of security. That may be our only defence against these theives. May we all need to purchase security lined purses or wallets.

Actually watch this espisode on the televison, was blown away how easy it was to “steel” you credit card informatin. What is our world coming to!

There will always be someway , somehow, a way to rob
the card holder. we must pay attention and be educated
to discourage the crooks.

I watched this on a television show also. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to steal the information from people. It makes you think it would be easier to carry cash again.

Very scarry now but what is it going to be like 15 years from now for our children. With computer technology advancing so fast it is hard to keep up with new products. Scan artist will always find a way to steal your identity.

VERY SCARY….THERE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE NEW WAYS FOR THE CROOKS TO OBTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION. IT IS VERY SAD.
